This map opens on the official 2027 designated Oklahoma Opportunity Zones (deep blue), effective January 1, 2027, from the list Treasury published November 5, 2026. Use the Layers panel to see the original 2018 zones (gold, in effect through December 31, 2028), both maps together, or the non-final eligible pool. On the 2027 view, the rural toggle shows only tracts marked Rural on the official list. See every designated Oklahoma tract on the 2027 list.
Oklahoma has 117 designated Qualified Opportunity Zones across 75 counties, with the largest concentrations in Oklahoma County (Oklahoma City), Tulsa County, and several rural counties in eastern Oklahoma. Oklahoma's OZ program spans its two major metros, mid-sized cities, and a large number of rural and tribal communities across the state.
Oklahoma City's OZs have benefited from the city's sustained economic momentum, driven by energy, aerospace, and a growing technology sector, and significant urban core revitalization investments. Tulsa's zones present some of the most compelling urban OZ opportunities in the South-Central region, with ongoing downtown and Brady Arts District revitalization, strong anchor institutions, and an active impact investing community. Eastern Oklahoma's rural zones, including those within or adjacent to Cherokee Nation and other tribal jurisdictions, offer distinct agricultural and community development investment profiles.
All OZ 1.0 designations remain in effect through December 31, 2028. Oklahoma's energy economy, no state income tax on capital gains in some structures, and affordable real estate create a favorable investment environment for OZ capital.
