At the base of Alpe d’Huez’s 21 bends, Bourg d’Oisans offers the perfect playground for duathletes who run 6.7km through both the foothills of the town and through its charming centre. So please don’t forget to bring two pairs of shoes!We advise athletes to park in Alpe d’Huez and ride to the start by bike. The 12th edition includes a change in size (3km to be exact): the second run is lengthened from 2.5km to 5.5km. The purpose of this independent event is to defend a vision of the triathlon based on the essence of the sport: personal achievement, respect, solidarity and humility. After a quick 2 kilometres from T1, the duathletes enter into the temple of cycling, a legendary climb which requires a decent amount of courage and a good dose of willpower.
